The PBC Beekeepers are holding a build a wax melter day. The event will be this Saturday September 11,2010 at 9:00am

We are building two types of wax melters. A simple one and a high end one.
The simple one will hold a standard 1 or 2 gallon pot. The kit will cost $20. This is for the wood and the Plexiglas only. This does not include the pot. This is good for beekeepers who just have a couple of hives.

The high end one will hold a standard 10″ wide baking pan. This kit will cost $45.00. This is for the wood and Plexiglas only. This does not include the baking pan. This is for a beekeeper who has more then five hives.

Even if you don’t want a wax melter it is also a chance to hang out with some really cool beekeepers.
If you are coming please consider bring a food item so that we can snack away while we are working on the builds.

The 2 day Intro to Beekeeping Course has some requirements.
Because there will be a hands on hives section you must have a hat and veil. If you do not you can buy one from the PBC Beekeepers Assoc for $25.00. However we must have payment by February 1st.
We will be selling Nuc box hives for those in the Intro to Beekeeping Course. Those can only be purchased at the end of the event and checks will be made out to the supplier. Nuc hives will be $75.00.
